ITINERARY:

Day 1: 
On arrival at the Entebbe Airport you will be received by your guide who will transfer you to Forest cottages where you will spend your first night in Uganda. (FB)

Day 2:

Visiting the Magnificent Murchison Falls

Following breakfast drive northwards to the renowned Murchison Falls national park, have a lunch break in Masindi as well as visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the uncommon rhinos. Finally reach Murchison Falls national park which is the largest protected wildlife area in the whole of Uganda covering 3,840 square kilometers. Move to the top of the Falls to view the natural beauty of these falls. at this place, The river squeezes throw a 7 meter narrow gorge from a width of more than 1 km and drops below with a thunderous roar forming a water spray that rainbow that results into a stunning rainbow – the wonders of Nile River!

Day 3:

The river Nile boat cruise


Following an early breakfast, explore the Northern part hosting a high number of savannah wildlife. this game drive offers great opportunities for  photography of lions, elephants, Uganda kobs, buffalos, giraffes, waterbucks as well as hippos, and in case you are fortunate even the leopards, in addition to a diversity of bird species. Following lunch, have a 2 hour boat-cruise to the bottom of the Murchison falls from where great volumes  of  water escapes through the small  gorge forming an immense thunderous roar. During this boat ride you will see several water birds plus mammals in big numbers.

Head back to the lodge where you will dine and slumber. (FB)

Day 4:

Fort Portal overlooking Mountains of the Moon
Following breakfast, depart from  Murchison Falls NP and drive Southwest through the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. Have lunch on the way at Mountains of the Moon Hotel found in Fort Portal town. From here continue to Mweya peninsula found in the Queen Elizabeth national park, you will have a wonderful game drive.

Day 5:

Queen Elizabeth National Park – the Pearl of Uganda

following an early breakfast, have a morning game drive to see the nocturnal predators as well as the early morning risers like lions, buffaloes, leopards, waterbucks, elephants, antelope species hippos and warthogs. For birders, Queen Elizabeth national park is a paradise for birders hosting a diversity of migratory as well as Albertine Rift Endemics. Have a boat cruise in the late afternoon along the kazinga channel for a 2hours wonderful game viewing and bird watching.

Day 6:

Chimp trekking – Kyambura Gorge

Wake up very early in the morning , have breakfast and head to kyambura gorge for chimpanzee trekking in Queen Elizabeth , you can also opt to  have a forest walk within the Maramagambo forest in the evening to explore the bat cave as you look for pythons that feed on these bats.

Day 7:

Ishasha Sector tree-climbing lions

following an early breakfast, drive to Bwindi impenetrable Forest through the Ishasha region in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth to see the tree-climbing lions that are prevalent in this area. Continue to where you will have lunch at the Bwindi Gorilla Resort. Have a community walk (the Batwa -Pygmy cultural experience and entertainment) in the evening.

Day 8:

Uganda Gorilla Tracking – Bwindi Mountain Gorilla Trek

After breakfast proceed to the park headquarter where you will be briefed about the gorilla tracking before going into the verdant forest lead by the rangers. In case you are fortunate, it make take you about 2 hours or even less to see amazing Bwindi giants. The experience of coming face to face with these peaceful primates is very overwhelming.  Head back to the lodge where you will have lunch after tracking the gorillas

Day 9:

After breakfast ,return to Kampala having lunch along the way in Mbarara and eventually reach Kampala late in the afternoon and depending on your energy, you will have a city tour in the capital of Uganda.You  will  be transfered to  the airport for your outbound flight back home or transfer to your accommodation if you do not have a flight this evening.
